Strong on shift, Present at home
Access for whole teams, stations, trusts and forces
ShiftReady was built by a shift worker, following a feeling set of night shifts.
I'm a serving police officer, and I've worked the rota for years. Earlies, lates, nights, and rest days that disappear when overtime comes up. I know what 4am feels like in a patrol car. I know what it's like to get home after a set of nights, try to sleep while the rest of the house is up, then go back in running on caffeine and a meal deal.
Every bit of health advice I found assumed I worked 9 to 5. So I built something that doesn't.
ShiftReady starts with your rota. Put your shift pattern in once and it plans around it: when to sleep, when to stop the caffeine, when to train and how hard, what to eat and when to batch cook. There's also a calendar your family can see. It works in a phone browser, so there's nothing to download and nothing for IT to sign off.
For employers, tiredness has a real cost. Sickness absence in NHS England was 5.14% in March 2026, and mental health is still the biggest cause. In NHS Wales it's 6.4%. NHS Employers estimates sickness absence costs the NHS £2.4 billion a year. Cutting just one sick day per person would save £150 million, the same as 6,000 full-time staff.
Those gaps still get filled, usually by bank staff. NHS trusts spent £4.7 billion on bank staff in 2024/25, and NHS England wants that cut by at least 10%.
Policing is feeling it too. In March 2026, 3,358 officers in England and Wales were on long-term sick leave, and that figure has gone up three years running.
ShiftReady won't fix staffing on its own. What it does is help people look after themselves around the shifts they actually work. Healthier staff take fewer sick days. Fewer sick days mean fewer shifts handed to the bank. And people who've slept and eaten properly make better decisions when it matters.
We offer access for whole teams, stations, trusts and forces. If you'd like to talk about what that could look like for your people, get in touch.
